On display from the 15th of Sep 2024 to 26st of Jan 2025, ‘The New Subject’ at KINDL is the fourth in a series of interconnected international exhibitions, - curated by the Creative Association of Curators TOK (Anna Bitkina & Maria Veits), - exploring the evolving challenges of the body in relation to global biopolitics and technological advancements. By examining the body as a contested site for ideological and political power, the participating artists explore potential modes of existence that defy the coercive machinations of state engineering and discuss strategies of resistance. ‘The New Subject’ is supported by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes and Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien. Within this context, artist Adina Pintilie presents her new series of works ‘The Sacraments‘ (photography, film and sound installation), produced by MANEKINO FILM. Exploring how time, memory and personal history are inscribed into our bodies and inform our experience of intimacy, the works stem from the artist’s immersion into the ‘emotional archeology’ of an intimate relationship, at the challenging crossroads of differentiation.
