The Sustainability Workshop is currently under development. It sees itself as an open space for exploring sustainable practices within one’s artistic and creative work. During the first semester, the focus is on getting to know the students’ working methods and interests. These will be developed and refined together in courses and workshops during the next semester.
A central concern of the workshop is creating a space for experimentation with living, bio-based, and alternative materials. Here, students will research new materials, question material cycles, and integrate the conscious use of resources into their artistic practices. The workshop encourages students to reflect on their working methods and develop sustainable strategies for using materials.
The material stock outside the workshop will remain in place. It serves as a trading post for used materials and is intended as a collective student resource that can be maintained, used, and integrated into project work independently.
