3rd Art Prize TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe | Deadline: April 24, 2026
The 3rd Art Prize in the Karlsruhe Technology Region is titled „Utopia: Work(s) in 2050“ and is a media-open, interdisciplinary art competition. The award will be presented in the summer of 2027 and is aimed particularly at artists and collectives working in performance, multimedia, or cross-genre formats. The competition takes place in two stages: In stage 1, artists submit concepts, from which the jury selects the most compelling works. These selected artists then realize their projects and present them in the prize winners’ exhibition (stage 2). The first three prizes are €12,000, €8,000, and €5,000. The TRK supports the production of the artworks by covering costs related to production, transport, and exhibition. Original works remain with the artists, while digital copies become the property of the TRK.
