The Stendar-Feuerbaum Foundation scholarship, worth €3,600, is aimed at young artists who have particularly impressed the HFBK jury with the artistic quality of their work. The official announcement is made by Gesa Engelschall, Executive Director of the Hamburg Cultural Foundation, during the opening night of the annual exhibition.

In 2010, Wolfgang Stendar and Renate Stendar-Feuerbaum established their foundation under the umbrella of the Hamburg Cultural Foundation. The purpose of the foundation is, on the one hand, to preserve the artistic work of Renate Stendar-Feuerbaum and, on the other hand, to promote young visual artists in Hamburg.
