42nd Short Film Festival Hamburg | Deadline: March 31, 2026
The 42nd Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg as well as the Young Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg Mo & Friese invite filmmakers from around the world to submit their short films for the 2026 edition, taking place from June 2 to 7, 2026 in Hamburg. Selected films will be presented in the official festival program and will compete in various competitions. A total of €15,500 in prize money will be awarded, with additional prizes worth €3,000 in the Mo & Friese section. The call also includes special awards such as a nomination of a European short film for the European Film Awards, the Kodak Short Film Award for analog productions, and the Short Film Award of the Association of German Film Critics.
