Artistic research is understood as an independent process of knowledge acquisition. It opens up new perspectives on social, cultural, and aesthetic issues while expanding our understanding of what knowledge can be. The focus is on aesthetic knowledge production—that is, the question of how artistic processes can give rise to forms of knowledge that go beyond traditional scientific formats.
