Professionalization offers WS 23/24
With the free professionalization program, the HFBK aims to equip its students and graduates with knowledge and skills that will make it easier for them to position themselves confidently professionally in the art field.
In various event formats, such as information events, lectures and workshops, we provide information on the topics of artistic positioning, presentation, financing, networking, management, law and contracts, marketing, social security and taxes.
We will also be happy to advise you on individual questions within these subject areas; together we will review your portfolio and answer questions about your application documents.
Since professional and academic development is also becoming increasingly important for artists, we will also be offering microcredential courses as qualification events for alumni in the areas of sustainability, diversity, international affairs and professionalization from the winter semester 2023/24, thus offering the opportunity for lifelong learning.
The microcredential courses enable participants to deepen individually important learning modules in an open, tailored and art-oriented way. Artists are given the opportunity to reflect on and expand their skills and knowledge in various workshops led by experienced instructors. The learning outcomes are certified with microdegrees, taking into account the scope of the event. In this way, participants have the flexible and effective opportunity to acquire or improve specific skills and knowledge and to prove this.

Business Basics for artists, Marcel Weishäupl
01. Dezember 2023, 10-14 Uhr und 04. Dezember 2023, 14 – 18 Uhr, Online-Workshop via BigBlueButton
Numerous non-genuinely artistic areas characterize the everyday working life of artists: There are invoices to be written, tax returns to be filed, insurances and contracts to be concluded. But what does an invoice actually have to contain? How do you get a tax number and what is the difference between sales tax and income tax? The range of topics covered in this workshop includes setting up a business, contracts, taxes and insurance, as well as self-management for artists. Great attention is paid to practical relevance and comprehensibility.
Quo vadis Nachhaltigkeit beim Film, Prof. Helge Albers gemeinsam mit Christiane Dopp (beide MOIN Filmförderung)
23. Januar 2024, 10 – 15 Uhr, ICAT Raum 03, Workshop
