Elisa Linseisen is a film and media scholar with a focus on the aesthetics and epistemology of the digital. Elisa Linseisen has been Professor of Film and Media Studies at the HfBK since October 2024. Previously, Elisa Linseisen taught and researched at media studies institutes in Hamburg, Vienna, Weimar, Paderborn and Bochum. In 2019, Elisa Linseisen completed a PhD on High Definition: Media-Philosophical Image Processing, published by meson.press in 2020. Elisa Linseisen's research and teaching interests include, among others, theories of application, digital images, post-cinema, queer computing, unfinished films, philosophy of media and technology, and canon criticism.
