ASA (N)open Studios 2021
In the winter semester 2020/21, despite the pandemic, nine international students from Vienna, London, Paris, San Francisco and Hangzhou came to Hamburg as part of the Art School Alliance to continue their studies here - in online seminars and group tutorials via video conferencing, in individual appointments in the workshops and, above all, in mutual inspiration as a residential community of the Karolinenstrasse studios. There, at the end of their stay, they finally completely emptied one of the studios in order to present their works - created during their time in Hamburg - in a non-public exhibition situation.
Albin Bergström (Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien), Vanessa Lam (Goldsmiths, University of London), Juliana Lindenhofer (Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien), Jade Mar (San Francisco Art Institute), Sorcha Noble (Goldsmiths, University of London), Alfred Rottensteiner (Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien), Elene Shatberashvili (Beaux-Arts de Paris), Shen Si (China Academy of Art, Hangzhou)
