Ukranian art students welcome!
We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, especially with the cultural workers.
We stand in solidarity with the brave people in Russia and Belarus who are protesting against the war.
HFBK Hamburg is offering Ukrainian art students fleeing from the war an uncomplicated procedure for admission to the University of Fine Arts. The aim is to give students with projects and interests in the area of the HFBK's main departments space for their artistic work and research and a possibility to continue their studies after their arrival in Hamburg.
Please note the following points for this purpose:
- provisional admission to the Bachelor and Master programme of the HFBK Hamburg is possible after arrival and registration in Hamburg and review of your documents by the University. The prerequisite is that you are studying Fine Arts in Ukraine and have to flee Ukraine due to the war. Please fill out the HFBK contact form as completely as possible. Decisive for the selection is your artistic portfolio.
- Following this, you will receive a link to a cloud where you can upload your application. Please notice: Hand in ONE PDF (max. size 10 MB), named after the pattern SURNAME_FIRST NAME.
As far as it is accessible to you, in addition to the portfolio we would be pleased to receive your CV, your university entrance qualification, proof of enrollment in a university, a copy of your passport, language certificates etc. In exceptional cases, these documents can be submitted later. - We will contact you as soon as possible. After reviewing the documents, first preliminary admissions can probably be made at the beginning of April 2022.
- Indipendent from this is your arrival in Hamburg: first go to the central initial reception office of the Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Information on admission in Hamburg can be found on the website of the Hanseatic City.
