More than 200 graduates from the 2025/26 academic year are showcasing their final art projects at the HFBK Hamburg. Discover the next generation of promising artists in a comprehensive exhibition that spans the entire studio and seminar spaces, complemented by a diverse program of performances.
The HFBK fine art teacher education is always in combination with Universität Hamburg’s teacher education program. It is generally taught in German language.
The application and selection process for the HFBK Art Teacher Education program is practically the same for foreigners as it is for German applicants. There are however some additional documents to be submitted, such as translations of certificates, and the proof of proficiency in the German language. All applicants for the teacher education programme must also apply via the University of Hamburg.
Since proficiency in the German language is essential for studies in teacher education, may we kindly ask you to switch to the German version of this page.
