Empowerment-Workshop für BIPoC
Venue:
- Seminarraum Wartenau
Due to lack of registrations, this workshop was cancelled.
The workshop aims to create a space for speaking and empowerment, in which specific experiences and needs in the context of a Kunsthochschule, but also from other everyday life, are exchanged and options for action in dealing with them are in the foreground. Experiences and strategies are diverse and even just coming together can be valuable in dealing with injuries, discrimination and the resulting psychological burdens, and also in strengthening ourselves collectively. We can learn from and with each other, but we also have to be aware of our own limits and those of others. Of course, we are made up of more than one identity, which is why the workshop takes an intersectional perspective and warmly invites queer and other multi-marginalised BIPoC students in particular. Questions that may have space in the workshop include: What experiences, needs and demands exist within the context of higher education?
What do healing and survival mean? What does empowerment mean and are there limits?
The workshop is appreciative and oriented towards your resources. With a mix of methods, without prior knowledge, process-oriented to your questions. If language or other barriers are a reason for exclusion, please let us know so that we can find a solution.
