On the evening of July 8, 2021, the para-educational research seminar led by Prof. Dr. Nora Sternfeld, HFBK Hamburg, will host The Coming Community Project. This project, which involved groups of artists and curators, was initially planned as part of Manifesta 13 in Marseille in 2020 and interrupted by the pandemic. So far, this group has made various attempts in both digital and textual ways to communicate about the shared concern of common space - how to be and how to work together? Among other, this project took place half digital and half physical on November 20, 2020 at the HFBK in Hamburg.
On Thursday evening, The Coming Community will present a first participatory event, a meeting around the experimental publication that has emerged from the beginning of this project until now. Driven by the idea of rethinking our communication and interactions, it uses the fanzine format as a premise of the recent digital social network that will be printed by audiences themselves. Finally, the idea is to share and to talk about what we have learned and what it might bring to our present and future. As part of this participatory event, the video of the zoom recording of November 20 (by Flora Bouteille) will be screened in a loop.
