provides an important forum for communication, regularly inviting international guests to lectures, film showings and workshops. It has become established as a central platform for exchange between German and non-German students and teachers. Themes to be focused on are developed by an editorial board supervised by a student initiative working together with professors. Suggestions may be submitted there.
 

An affiliation of professors of all study programmes chaired by the vice-President, dedicated to all questions concerning the internationalising of the HFBK. This panel decides on the co-operations this art university enters into with international universities, the encouragement of international mobility of students by means of the Karl H. Ditze Stiftung, grants awarded for achievement to non-German students and the DAAD prize for exceptional achievement by overseas students.

An almost thirty-year-old tradition unites the HFBK with the China Academy of Art in Shanghai/Hangzhou. Grants can be awarded for periods spent studying at this art university in Hangzhou.
