In the electronics workshop HFBK students will gain basic skills in working with electric and electronic apparatus and the set-ups, equipment or more complex systems specifically required for their artistic projects. Prototypes will be created. Priority will be given to research and experiment, and thereby to extending students’ skills. Questions concerning robotics, telematics, control and regulation technology or merely »purposeless« devices will be dealt with. In principle there is no market-orientated, engineering aspect, it is more a case of researching unusual »simple« solutions. In the course of this, analogue and digital variant solutions will be investigated, or hybrid systems developed. Safety aspects concerning work with electrical energy and the appropriate use of the equipment will also be learned.
