Erasmus is the European Commission's programme for Higher Education students, teachers and institutions. It forms part of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme and enables students in 31 European countries to study for part of their degree in another country.

The HFBK Hamburg currently enjoys co-operation agreements with over 25 fine art academies in 18 countries within Europe.

For incoming students, the application deadline for the winter and summer term 2012/13 is April 30, 2012.
