Part Time Attendees
Depending on the number of available study places and due to agreements between study programmes at the HFBK and study programmes belonging to other institutes of higher education, the President can admit students from other Hamburg institutes of higher education as Nebenhörer (part-time attendees) by arrangement with the study programme involved. Nebenhörer are not members of the University. They are not entitled to make use of other benefits which exist for students of the HFBK. For the summer semester, the application period ends on the 15th April, and on 15th October for the winter semester.
Which documents must be handed in?
- A filled-out Nebenhörer application with the professor's signature
- A passport photo, which must have the name of the applicant written on the back
- A declaration that the applicant does not intend to gain a qualification through academic examination in their part-time subject taken at the HFBK
- A written statement of previous studies and a reason for choosing the part-time subject
- Confirmation from the current examination committee in charge of the student's main subject, naming the studies to be undertaken in the part-time subject concerned at the University and any relevant examination requirements
- A curriculum vitae
Guest Attendees
Depending on the number of available study places, the HFBK Hamburg may admit persons who are interested but do not aim to achieve a university degree as Gasthörer (guest attendees) for single classes. Admission is for one semester, it may be prolonged by one more semester at maximum.
Gasthörer are not members of the University. They are not entitled to make use of other benefits which exist for students of the HFBK. Guest attendants are charged a reduced tuition fee of 102,25 Euros. For more details please contact Ms. Katrin Weinert.
