In the printing techniques workshop, skills in diverse printing processes will be taught, enabling HFBK students to apply these appropriately to their own artistic work. Hybrid printing forms will be investigated, as well as analogue techniques such as relief printing (e. g. wood and lino block printing), incised printing (e. g. etching, gravure printing), flat screen printing (e. g. lithography, and offset printing) and digital printing techniques and methods of creating images, for instance with the mouse, graphic tablet, camera, scanner and computer programmes. Different printing techniques will be combined, for instance, or images produced by analogue techniques will be digitalised in order to be re-created in analogue form after being digitally processed. In the more advanced experimental project work, students will realise their individual artistic intentions.
